Here you will find the query sheet for the Duke Ellington Itinerary Database created by the late Joe Igo, the late Gordon Ewing and the late Art Pilkington.
This query sheet was posted on the Library of Congress website at http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/wghtml/ellington.html
for years and lists unresolved itinerary queries arising in a more detailed itinerary.
The detailed itinerary was not on the website but the Library of Congress appears to have a digital copy. When I requested access to the detailed itinerary, LOC's response was :
"...about the Ellington Itinerary database on our website. That database was not intended to remain on the website. I’m attaching what one of our website administrators has forwarded to me. You should copy the database if you haven’t already. It’s about to disappear."The attachment was a text dump for the year 1939 which seems to confirm LOC has the entire original Igo/Ewing/Pilkington itinerary.
"I think it’ll be gone from our website as of today (it was never supposed to go up and it’s been sitting there for years). I don’t think LC owns the rights to any of it, so go ahead with it, though it’s probably outdated by now. While the database query page can be located in the Wayback Machine Internet Archive at http://tinyurl.com/lbafqxn I've copied it here to ensure it is preserved.
I noticed the difference between the files and the table, but I’m not able to reconcile it. Whoever made the decision to post it years ago is no longer here."
